Palisades Tahoe, California, has announced that it will remain open for skiing and riding through Memorial Day (weather and conditions permitting), reinforcing its reputation as the Spring Skiing Capital®. Boasting the longest season in Lake Tahoe, Palisades Tahoe delivers prime spring conditions, complete with corn snow, lively après scenes, and an exciting lineup of signature events.

Spring Operations and Events

Signature Spring Events Include:

  • Town Race League – Kicked off on March 5 and running through April 9, this new community race series invites skiers and riders to compete on Julia’s Gold Run with weekly themes and prizes.
  • Pain McShlonkey Classic – On March 22, this legendary event honors Shane McConkey with a hilarious day of snowblading, a Hot Dog Downhill, and a massive raffle.
  • Mothership Classic – On March 23, skiers and riders will lap KT-22 on retro gear, raising funds for the High Fives Foundation.
  • Toyota U.S. Mogul Freestyle Championships – From March 27–30, watch elite mogul skiers take on Red Dog Face in this top-tier competition.
  • Snow Golf Tournament – On April 19, the only top-to-bottom snow golf course in the world returns to Alpine with a Caddyshack-themed afterparty.
  • Easter Events – On April 20, enjoy an egg hunt, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and the chance to win a 25/26 season pass in the Golden Egg Hunt.
  • Earth Day Festival – On April 26, The Village at Palisades Tahoe hosts one of the largest Earth Day events in the region, featuring live music and sustainability education.
  • Cushing Crossing – On May 3, the 33rd annual pond skim challenges costumed skiers and riders to make it across Cushing Pond.
  • Spring Tracks Music Series – Featuring free shows from 220 Kid (April 5), G. Love (April 12), and KT Tunstall (April 19) on the KT Deck.
  • Made in Tahoe Festival – From May 24–25, celebrate local artisans and creators with food, beer, and live music — all benefiting the Tahoe Food Hub.
