A staggering $600 million loan has just supercharged the development of a new Four Seasons Resort and Residences at the heart of Deer Valley East Village, marking the first new luxury alpine village to be built in North America in over 40 years. This monumental project is set to redefine the boundaries of one of Utah's most iconic resorts.
The big news is the sheer scale of the on-mountain expansion. Kicking off for the 2025-26 winter season, Deer Valley will effectively double its skiable terrain. This isn't just a minor addition; we're talking about 10 new chairlifts and 100 new ski runs coming online. Once completed, the resort will boast an immense 5,726 acres of terrain serviced by 37 lifts and 238 runs, catapulting it into the ranks of North America's largest ski resorts.
At the center of this evolution is the Deer Valley East Village. The new Four Seasons will provide unparalleled ski-in, ski-out access, complemented by the five-star amenities and service the brand is renowned for. Construction is already underway on the resort and residences, with a completion date slated for 2028.
Gary Barnett, the Founder and Chairman of Extell Development Company, stated, "This loan underscores the tremendous confidence the market has in the Four Seasons brand...as well as our commitment to Deer Valley East Village. We’re excited to have reached this milestone...and look forward to seeing this vision come to life with the grand opening of Deer Valley’s ski expansion this upcoming winter."

Visitors can look forward to more than 50 miles of hiking and biking trails, an ice rink, and new dining venues, including a premier ski-in, ski-out lounge perfect for that après session. This project ensures Deer Valley's position as a world-class destination, delivering a bigger and more diverse playground for all mountain enthusiasts.
