I really wanted to make it up to Williams Lake this season for an extended amount of time. I've spent a few days here and there in the area plus I had an amazing trip for WTTE. It all left me wanting more. The landscape and terrain are unbelievable and so vast. For a big mountain rider, it has the perfect combination of rolling grasslands and big gnarly chutes--two aspects of riding I really like and want to explore and experiment with more.

So myself and Mitch Cheek from Solos Productions, who is a local to that area, made it a goal to make this trip happen. I was really stoked to get my good buddy and big mountain shredder from the area, James Doerlfing, on board as well. He kills it on every front and knows that kind of terrain like the back of his hand. From there, more people jumped on board including Kenny Smith, Mr. Hane himself. Local shedder Jeremy Stowards from Red Shreds Bike and Board Shed, John Wellburn is one of my favorite photographers and also a local to the area. And last but not least Alex Pro, a good buddy from way back and one of my favorite riders hands down. We had a solid crew and I was stoked that this many people wanted to join in on the adventure.

Long story short, an hour and a half West of the Puddle we spent two weeks at Camp Hane on the Fraser River and this is what we came up with. It was one of my favorite trips I have ever done and we only were able to hit half the lines we had scoped and built before we had to call it from sheer shatteredness . . . Plus James went down hard early on in the trip and fractured his radius, so that just means we'll be back to Camp Hane!
