He showed me some sweet stuff he had in his garage too. Wound up with a like new mid-tier bike for my kid, a M630/i9 wheelset, Enve bar and stem, and Drift carbon flat pedals for $1200.

    Marching backwards:

Got an angleset. To make the head tube steeper.

Been loving the Moxie, but the front end is super floppy on steep climbs and the low bb makes it a chore in technical rocky crap. So I bumped the head angle from 64 to 65, got a few extra mm at the bb, and reined in the front wheel a bit. It's not a whole new bike, but the handling is noticeably more precise, manuals way easier, is more composed on climbs, and jumps better. Even got more travel out of the fork at the same sag. Still is super stable at speed, I have yet to see a downside.

Also picked up a 240mm OneUp post on super sale, seat was still a little high for lift served with the 200m Transfer.

Still need to update the NX/GX drivetrain to something a little more dentist-y and she'll be all done.

Picked up a Fox 36 @ 150 for front of my Stumpjumper (non-EVO), so far has been a nice improvement over the stock 34 for tracking through the chunky rock gardens I've been riding more of lately.

Also picked up a nice used Slater 24" DJ frame/Stans + DT240 wheels/shortend 152mm Zee crankset for my kids. Daughter has been loving it for the local bike park.

Where’d you get the 36? I’ve been on the lookout for a deal.

Been mullet curious for a while, and was considering mulcting my current bike, but as a bunch of things needed replacing at the same time and everything seems to be on mad sale atm I just picked this up instead:

    STOKED!

CC frame, Fox Factory 38 and DHX2 coil, Code RSC brakes, X01 mechanical - without asking for a discount my LBS sold it to me for less than Santa's current sale pricing and also threw in pedals etc for free unprompted too. Nicest thing I've ever owned haha!

Damn, that color combo looks way better in real life than on the SC website. Enjoy! I love my N6.

I was pretty happy with Formula Cura 4 brakes until I heard about a dude from Italy who CNC machines levers with all the crazy anodizing. They have a more aggressive curve on the ends and are drilled under the finger tips. He also puts bearings in place of stock bushings. Not sure about the performance but they feel better and look kinda cool.

Got the wife a Stumpjumper Evo while they're still available (not a fan of the new stumpys). Swapped out the AXS drivetrain for X01 mechanical and swapped the Codes for Dominions. TBD whether I swap the stock mullet link for a WRP one with a better leverage ratio (not sure Mrs. Toast will actually notice the difference).

    She's excited.

I bought one and strapped it to my frame to go nuke an offending bunch of deadfall on a trail I put in a couple summers ago. Very happy with how little effort it took to remove big stuff. It was a lot more fun riding the trail and stopping to saw vs hiking up the whole thing with the chainsaw then hiking back down.
Get a littler one that fits in a hip pack while you're at it, they come in handy!

Most of the time the biggest BIGBOY will be enough so I won't need the sthil and there is no point in the smaller saws cuz the biggest folding BIGBOY fits easily in my dakine Apex riding pack so I will carry it all the time cuz while other people have jobs i just ride and drink beer so if I see an offending tree is down on the Slack communication app we use I can grab it real quick even if its not my responsibility

Santa cruz are super popular localy and I really dig SC's version of a mullet on my Bullit

there is a zerk grease fitting in the swingarm so I emailed SC to ask " what grease ? " they got back in < a day so I got a new mini greasegun and tube of the " any waterproof marine grease " they recommend

you gotta air the shock down to get at the zerk fitting

Who’s using a 16” corded electric chainsaw at a construction site? Or an over priced boutique folding pruning saw?

You have an ebike. I wouldn't the the weight of a 6.0 M18 battery would matter. I mean, how long of a cord and you thinking about riding with?

well he said " electric chain saw " but yer right who uses these things ?

localy i seen carpenter bro walking up to the offending tree on his trail assignment with a makita reciprocating and a couple of batteries which makes more sense to me from a usability POV, Nobdy got to it and all I got is this shitty little folder which is too small but if i had the BIGBOY in my pack I could have cut that tree out a week before he finaly got to it,

the silky product is pretty popular on the trails here abouts but as a cheap fuck you probably just wana let someone else cut that stem out
