We were the first guinea pigs/paying customers to PNH "tour camp" last week!!!...........bottom line was an awsome week!!!!!!!!!!!! I am pretty digitaly compromised, but took lots of pics and some vid which my son will eventually get together and post a better TR..............Tahoe based guides Jeff Dostie and Brennan Lagasse were excellent: nice guys, great skiers, SAFE........snowed 18" the day before we flew in (had to spend one night in the lodge, but got heli in the next am) skied every day.....two bluebird days, two good enough vis days and one and a half milkbowl vis days....overall getting out every day, with good vis four out of five days in the Chugach (when helis could only fly two) was hard to beat......we skied one actual peak with entrance exam over forty five degrees, but the snow was so good that we stayed relatively close to camp skiing North facing powder the whole week....initially other aspects were good, but warm and clear weather the first couple of days funked up the non North stuff.....we skied from six to eight hours per day to come home to a pretty cool tent camp......[skied one at a time; guide first down, then our group of four, one at a time, then other guide last....minor detail of photos and vid were not great for ski action because only from top and bottom shots, not heroe side view face shot perspectives]....heated tents to sleep, large comune tent for cooking (cook included Salmon, Moose, chicken for dinner, sammys to take for lunch.....brought our own beer, wine for apres and dinner) and hanging out (even music and vids! generators for lights and recharging stuff at night)....my son immediately wants to go back next year, but we are committed to a different Canada Hut previously......skiing as hard/intense or "medium" as you want, but probably not the place if never before skinning/backcountry.....spines, coulouirs are farther away.....we didn't do stuff too radical because our group spanned the ages of fifteen (maybe the youngest PNHer ever, but my son kicked it on the up and down both) to sixty seven!!!! and farming deep North face pow was so good for us pow starved Colorado skiers.....all of us and guides AT equipment .....skins up and big skis down (except one lone telemarker)....anyway, great trip, good price, great snow, great way to do the Chugach IMHO! (about the only negative....if you can't handle a week without a real shower).......PM me if you want to talk or more details......here is a brief taste/TR by guide Brennan Lagasse with some pics of the week: http://unofficialnetworks.com/allyou...chugach-87784/

Looks like fun, I would love to ski Cordova. Do you have rates for locals? Valdez close enough for local? Doubt theres too much stand-by with these conditions.

Thanks for the words Chet! It was a real pleasure to have you, Chet Jr., Tim and Martin at camp!

We just kept ramping it up the last couple of weeks capping off a truly memorable season in the Chugach. Here's a few links to some pieces I wrote for Unofficial Networks that'll help get people fired up on this season and those to come. Cheers!

Brennan: You and Jeff absolutely crushed it for us while we were there. So stoked to see that you tagged Dano's so hard.

Here's a post about how sick it is up there: http://www.tetongravity.com/blogs/He...in-5986021.htm

Wicked rad riding with you. Some of the most fun I've had on skis, for sure.
